Army which document Nazi atrocities along the route of the death marches. All witness accounts date from 1945, providing for an authentic account of the last chapter of the Holocaust, in which the S.S. evacuated all concentration camps which were about to fall into the hands of the Allied Forces. Of the 700,000 registered inmates at the beginning of 1945, at least 250,000 died during such death marches.
